'The Vanguard' plots the story of a hatchet-wielding drifter charged with chopping up artificially animalised people known as Biosyns. Director Matthew Hope has a fondness for hard-edged eastern European graphics and charged us with creating a poster in this mould, reflecting both the lo-fi aesthetic of the movie and a certain coldness of touch.
